Bacarra, Ilocos Norte – A player makes a difference but a team can make a greater difference.

In a fierce display of skill, heart and stamina, powerhouse Linao National High School representing Region VIII, demolished Region II’s offense-defense tactics after banking on nerve-wracking spikes and tricky placings to stage a superb net and court coverage and post a 2-0 decisive win during the Palarong Pambansa Volleyball Women’s Division, Secondary Elimination round at Philip Velasco Socio and Civic Auditorium, May 26. 

Six-year experienced Grade 10 team setter Iya Sales carried the team’s offense with precise setting skill dishing out 4 points and 28 excellent sets to grind Region II’s  tough defense into powder through her team spikers.

“After we won in the regional competition, we never stopped training dahil gusto po naming ipakita sa national level yong mga pinagpaguran namin as a team,” Sales said after their team’s second win.
