Eastern Visayas Clinches Another Gold in Long Jump

Ilocos Norte— Eastern Visayas added another gold medal to its tally in the 2025 Palarong Pambansa after Efosa John Paul Aguinaldo soared to victory in the secondary boys’ long jump event held in Ilocos Norte, May 26. 

Aguinaldo, a standout from the region’s athletics delegation, delivered a stellar performance that outclassed competitors from other regions. With a remarkable leap that drew cheers from the crowd, he secured the top podium spot and brought pride to Eastern Visayas.

“I just focused on my form and trusted my training,” said Aguinaldo after the event. “This gold is not just mine—it’s for my team, my coaches, and everyone back home who supported me.”

The win marks another highlight in Eastern Visayas’ Palaro campaign, showing the region’s strength in athletics and determination to remain competitive on the national stage.

The 2025 Palarong Pambansa continues to see fierce competition across various sports, with athletes from across the Philippines vying for medals and regional pride in Ilocos Norte.
